I've measured, and that (or the Whirlpool one) would fit under a normal 
countertop (which would need to be hinged).  Which? generically think better of 
Whirlpool than Hotpoint washers.

I am tempted even for home...  our 15 yr old AEG may give up eventually, and it 
would be nice to use our solar heated water.
