My reply to this topic got lost somewhere? Safety for who? certainly not for
boaters and if anyone falls in the fence would impede rescue. This is an ill
conceived barmpot idea and should be knocked on the head. Heritage would be
destroyed.How about getting the lock listed as a as listed structure? it may
already be/ at one time they planted parking meters along the towpath now
fortunatly gone.I am sure this is a conservation area in any event.CKP
