I thought equalisation was intended to stir up the electrolyte, to  
correct the fact that over time, the sulphate ions drift downwards,  
so that there's a gradient of electrolyte concentration, denser at  
the bottom and lighter at the top.

I've tried to make my Victron to do  this, performing the little  
rapid switching bit as described in the manual, but it declines to co- 
operate, in this as in so much else.
