It might be worth noting that the policy wording on their web site is quite different to the one that was sent, and from the one that Michael Stimpson sent last year. The new one makes no mention of single-handed boating (the web version insists on the steerer wearing a buoyancy aid). The version sent also makes no qualification on tidal passages between inland waterways (other than keeping within twelve miles of shore).
