I couldn't agree more, Peter. Which is why I was so surprised after I'd done the oil change, and was struggling up the towpath to the recycling centre, to be descended upon by the owner of a 1988 RN who proceeded to pour half of it into his tank. I can't yet work out if this says more about RN owners than it does RN engines.
