There's nothing wrong with cruisers. You're all being snobbish. For many hundreds of people they represent an affordable entry-level way of getting onto the waterways. Why are they always white? Well why are the hulls of 57.6inch narrowboats always black? And why are they always steered by priggish white haired men over 60 who hadn't heard of a canal until they stumbled on an episode of Waterworld a couple of years ago and now think they own the system...
Come on, guys. We can all be rude about other people's boats, but it's a cardinal rule on the cut that you don't do that. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Actually, I rather like small plastic boats if they look nice. One of the reasons for asking was that I have a cunning plan forming in the back of my mind which might involve purchase of a small plastic jobbie - perhaps of the 6 or 7 m length variety.
