I have now found that Microsoft does not service Office 2000 anymore in
their auto updates!
and I am bu&&ered if I am going to trawl through the individual updates,
which Mr Gates has condescended to still put out.
So I shall be forced to use a rather "well worn" administrators copy of
Office Pro 2003.
Who knows, through the stupidity of Microsoft, this may do the trick.
The reason I wanted to stay with Office/Word 2000, is that I can just about
fathom it out. I obtained Office 2007 on a pc I was given ...but it was
beyond me, especially the stupid .docx format.
A lot of people I know are buying up OEM versions of Windows XP Pro, service
pack 3....before Mr Gates decided to drop it!
Windows 7 will probably be an even bigger pile of poo that Vista.
