Hi Chaps (and Chapesses), I'm considering buying something along the lines of a thermo-electric cool box, unfortunately (although I do know the principles - we used them a lot in the high vacuum industry when we sold mercury diffusion pumps) a lot) I've no experience of them when used as a cold box / refrigerator on a narrowboat.
This is just one of the type that I'm looking at; I rather like the idea of top opening, partly as you don't lose the cold air inside and partly because you can usually stack more stuff inside them without it all tumbling onto the deck when you open it! See: <http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130327206090&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en> or, as TinyLinks, either this one: ** <http://tiny.cc/2vZ0t> <http://tiny.cc/2vZ0t> or: <http://alturl.com/2gmj> (they all go to the same place (I hope <g>). Any advice on their worth / value for money / longevity, etc., or even just your thoughts about them (as I don't completely trust salespersons working on commissions), would be much appreciated :) (I've also sent this to the Cutweb and Narrowboats lists, my apologies for the multiple posts if you are on either - or even both - of them). Cheers, Trevor [Chuffed to bits with my GP's approval to drive gain - and now very hopeful of getting back to 'Wyrd' before this weekend!] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
