Maurice A will be epoxy primed (over the top of the epoxy primed steel plate), then 2-pack blacked using Jotun Coatings. http://www.jotun.com/ All of the barges Riversdale has built has been done with this stuff....and it seems to stay black....and to stay on below the waterline. Riversdale use International Intertuff on their wide-beam narrowboat hire-boats and they are going to do a freebee blacking on Earnest before it comes home (Earnest is blacked with this stuff) :-) BTW, Earnest is not coming home for a bit, as I have had a cheaper quote to do it with a return load organised by Kesh Transport (this is rather handy, as I am "paid" up at Riversdale until the end of March and the new "user" will not be requiring until then)....of course if anyone wanted their 60ft narrowboat taken over to Ireland, then this would be a once only offer next Marchish.
