I was hoping to move Tarn south after her repaint and extensive refurbishment, but no way was I going to rip off all the new paint by icebreaking! The forecast has been so dire that we decided to stay put. Now I have to wait until April, as bridge 20 is scheduled for rebuilding directly after New Year. The towpath, particularly the lockside, has been very slippery. Tonight the rain is torrential so maybe it will wash away the ice (she said hopefully). The dogs are very miffed. -- Dorothy
