/me was not aware of "--no-backup", but I also don't see it in the provision.sh script [2]. Psivaa is correct though, we shouldn't need it.
Vila, I escalated the bug to critical now that I have a second vote. As I see it, I prefer ownership of phablet-tools remain with the phablet team as its users are broader then just CI. But we are a major stakeholder and should be able to have some leverage for getting in patches critical to our process (we ultimately have the same boss). We can always fork our own branch of phablet-tools if our concerns aren't being addressed (although I admit this often leads to a permanent rift).
