Two of our users (in Italy and Holland) are reporting a crash in Sierra which we’re unable to reproduce here in the USA (even after adding & activating Dutch and Italian as languages) that I’ve traced back to FetchFontInfo failing with a -1 result. I tried falling back to GetFontInfo, but it also chokes on Geneva italic 14 (i.e., it puts nothing into the passed FontInfo struct).
According to them, Font Book says their fonts all pass validation... I’ve no clue what that -1 result indicates, nor what to tell them about how to replace their copy of Geneva to test whether it’s the source of the problem (since Sierra obstinately resists all attempts to do so, and they have only one bootable partition).
