Maybe there is a part of own philosphy in the last sentences of this mail. So a fast answer to the main points. I am from my point are not a programmer or designer. So i was shocked that seconds after script started i was the new owner of care2x.info I phoned sven in austria to ask what happened. He was the owner of care2x.info before. He was in talk with a customer. So there was no time to clear it up. I only know that he is doing a server setup at the moment. He was a long time ill and in hospital. So from time to time i phoned his girl friend how he is going. I think i clear it up with him when i settled in my job. I post this to the list that no rumors come why i registered care2x.info RDM> care2x.de is a completely different site. Contains Different information. A link to 'main'-site is RDM> provided but points to care2x.net iso care2x.com I point to care2x.net because it was the first place Elpidio post to the mailinglist. I didn't know which is his main server. The reason why not care2x.com or care2x.net is they are here from my home place and other servers often not available. So i thing its not so important, because all are mirrors. In octber last year there was a idea about usefull things care2x can include. See the Nagios network scan for example. At the very beginning of care2x some demos where in the net. Elpidio listed them at the old page. After a while some demos changed their page or info and sometimes i saw total different pages or error references. Maybe Nagios is higly interesting for a hospital sysadmin to check his internal network. This can be integrated into the care2x navigation tree. I got sensible for this and after a while i found a lot of things that are very usefull but the gui of care2x is not flexible enough at the moment to put such external tools inside. See only at http://medal.org nearly 7000 little tools can be available there. Not everyone need it. But lovely if you can have it in case of need. Interesting for doctors and nurses. Than there was the discussion here in the list about an interactive webpage for the developers. I tested a lot of Content management tools like phpnuke and others, made them available for review inside the list. Some prefer this system others another. At this point it was in december/january i think i saw typo3 the first time. A customer of mine applied very often to make the typo3 system available at my servers. Because of fear to touch a running production system. I installed it at home at my Windows pc. I didn't touch the Linux PC with it, because i used it for production of the care2x cd. Here i like to work with a complete clean system. So i am in intensive reading about the typo3 resources http://typo3.com/ I saw by reading content there and the mailinglists that some care2x developers know and work with the system or are interested to it. Adjem made a html design for the plugin resource. Typo3 is able to wrap designs. So i test the typo3 with the plugin design. As you see now. Mailinglist, Newsserver implementation and other useful things they integrate. We have it but not integrated. http://typo3.org/ The developer resource of typo3 you see looks similar like the navigation system of care2x.de now. I think the structure gives a good orientation. It is easy possible to manage several thousand pages with it. To give rights to others to edit or produce... I see the absolute power of typo3 but also the difficulties. I see a lot of features and ideas in it that care2x not have and the oposite. As Elpidio decidet to make frames for the mirrors it was clear he like to manage the mirrors allone. No interaction. I did setup at this time the new care2x.de server. It is a very special configuration. The content and the pictures copyright is not clear to me. Is it open content or not. The only thing is clear press releases are press releases. I like to set the content under creative commons license. totaly free. But everyone who gives input is allowed to chose another copyright. The design may change... If the Care2x CI comes in, the copyright holder - this is Lopo can do it. He have access. At the moment you see here a page that is in experimental situation, by the design. I am only fascinated about how others manage their projects. If there is no support than its nearly a information page about care2x giving some additional possibilities. If the developers like it, than it runs decentralized. As more as i do it have my personal note. As more as others like to bring input it have the common developers note. ###### One major point that i decidet this way, is that Elpidio like to run the mirrors and care as a clean and neutral. Here he can be right. But i like for example to close in special situations partial the page. Such a special situation is for example the european software patents discussion. Software Patents destroy Open Source developement. Read in the GPL. And its worth to fight for it. At the time as thousands of Open Source projects close their projects or give access to the resources after you get information about software patents i asked Elpidio to do the same. - - - No care2x is unpolitical and clean. - - - I followed ok. But my heard was bleading at this moment. There is absolutely nothing with some rumors that go around at the moment that i plan some fork.
