Hi Roderick, 

Could you describe in details what is not working?
Did you install Care2x on a stack that is supported: 

Apache 1.3.x
PHP 4.3.x
MySQL 4.0.x

If one of the above components has newer version, you may run into
troubles. 

Typically to assign a bed to a patient, you have to do: 
1. register the patient. 
2. admit the patient as inpatient. 
3. Go to the corresponding Nursing Ward and assign a bed (the patient
will be displayed in the right as 'pending').
