Hello All,

I want to introduce shortly the diagnostic module we have in our East-African
version
because as a doctor I like it very much as a clinician and it might be worth
migrating to the
main version. We had problems using the original version and therefore
developed different
module.

In our module you have two options to choose the diagnosis. It opens by default
with
Quicklists. These are editalbe lists, which can be made different for each
clinic or even each
doctor can build his own list of preferences. The idea is to have a short list
of all common
diagnosis for easy pickup. the items are picked from the ICD-10list. If the
diagnosis is rare
then Search will look from the full ICD-10 database.
The next step in our module would probably need change if it would be
integrated to the main
branch. There is selection if the patient is new for this year, if his disease
is new for this year
or if he comes again for the same reason. This information is required by local
authorities.
This module is linked also to the discharge form, because we want to check when
the patient
is discharged that the diagnosis is given.

You can test this at health.elct.org/care2x. You find it from Outpatient, in
one of the clinics
and then open any patient's green folder.
