Hello, One of the changes in beta 2.2.2 is that the Spanish translation is converted from iso-8859-1 to utf-8 character encoding.
This is thanks to Daniel Hinostroza. We both think that it would be for good if all language translations are converted to the utf-8 encoding. This way we will support code that works with only one encoding and will avoid some of the encoding problems that we currently have. UTF-8 has becomed de facto standart for multiplatform encoding and I think the Care2x will benefit if convert fully to it. There is of course a drawback for installations that use non-english letters for patient names and other data. In this case, when upgrating to newer version of Care2x, the database data should also be converted to UTF-8. However, I think this is not so big price to pay. If there is no objection, then all translation will be converted in the next betas. I plan release 2.3 to be fully utf-8. Daniel already suggested to help with this tasks. I want to invite everybody who can help with even one translation to do it. The number of translations is big and this means that there is lot of work.
