Hi Donna,
I tried using the ImageMagick utility and successfully converted a png image of
a brain slice to jpeg and yet when I tried to open the resulting jpeg in the
Caret program it was not able to. I will ask for permission from my supervisor
and try and upload a few of our images in the upload link that you sent me.

I was thinking one reason could be maybe caret has some kind of restriction on
the max size of the file it can open or something like that because our png
files are on average 2 mb and the resulting jpeg was almost a mb in size.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Surya De
