Many thanks for the help, Donna, but here are my two more dumb questions.
I'm trying to project a group-T map generated by SPM onto the Human.PALS_B12.BOTH.TEMPLATE-for-fMRI-MAPPING.73730 file. Is it the case of multi-fiducial mapping? Also, once the SPM T image is project on to the Human.PALS... template, does each column contain T-value in each voxel? Not sure how column is different from the basic unit, voxel, in caret. Sorry to bug you by casting dumb questions, but again your help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
YSL

Hi YSL,

Reading through 1.22 Metric files in the September 2006 tutorial will give you an idea of how average area is useful when multi-fiducial mapping.

There is a tag-column-threshold pos/neg value for each column in the metric/surface_shape file format. If you select column threshold, the threshold will be set to whatever is stored in those fields (0.0 by default).

 Dear caret users,

I'm wondering what are the differences among column, average area, and user for the threshold adjustment of metric settings. I'm hoping to see the area whose t-value is 5.4 in my data, so I guess I set it to user and type 5.4 in the pos.
But, it would be great to know what column and average area are about.
 Any help would be appreciated.

 Thanks,
 YSL
