When one saves a paint volume in caret as a nifti, there are two header extensions that reflect the value<->name mapping.
One of these is an afni header extension. It is marked as deprecated. But is it something one could actually load in afni itself (obviously the data can be loaded, but can it be loaded in a way that afni interprets the header data as an atlas/mapping etc)? I'm not familiar with afni at all. But I need to do this one way or another and simply loading the caret paint volume, or doing something with it, would be nicer than coding. best, Colin
