That's more or less my intention, Kim. I will do my best to provide a fair analysis of the benefits and limitations of bare Tomcat, but I do think we owe the community a tangible reference implementation. Interested and motivated readers should be able to evaluate the fitness of that implementation for their needs, adding additional components (e.g. Apache) and customizing as needed. But at least we will have provided a concrete starting point.
