How does this list currently handle OOO replies from members? I don't
see them on the list, so I guess you must be filtering them already
somehow?
I think there are some rules in place that reject messages if they
appear to be OOO spam, but some are getting though. It happens
infrequently compared to directed OOO spam that goes to me personally
when I post. For that case, I've got an internationalized Gmail filter
to delete them silently on arrival. [1] For the longest time I tried to
politely contact folks and encourage them to do the right thing, then I
stopped after only a vanishingly small fraction ever acknowledged the
gesture. Then I have the more aggressive "delete all messages from this
repeat offender" rule. Fortunately I haven't updated that one in a while.
Anyways, I'm in favor of removing people that can't observe email
etiquette.

I'd like to balance being reasonable with folks that most likely aren't
doing this on purpose and having a community where we can collaborate
without a lot of noise or annoyance.
