We deploy CAS on JBoss at VT, and have done some very preliminary stress testing against our customized CAS based on 3.0.6. We were able to sustain a load of over 20 logins/s against a single machine, but letting the test run for a long time (~1 hr) caused a runaway Java that had to be killed. Since this load was much higher than anything we've seen in production, and we have never had load problems in production, we shrugged it off and walked away without further investigation.
