Sorry by build, I meant use Maven2 not necessarily build it directly. We package all of our stuff as basic JAR (and WAR files) so that you can use Maven2 to basically pick the pieces you want and then Maven puts them together and then you can basically override individual configuration files. This might be too much if you just want to demo.
Ah I see. Not being familiar with JAR/WAR files let alone maven I haven't gone down this route but it sounds like I will need to.
Are you including the correct additional LDAP jars when you modify the WAR file? (this is why we generally recommend Maven2 as it pulls in the correct stuff when you tell it you want to use LDAP).
I haven't added anything to what is deployed by Tomcat & the WAR file. Is there anyway to find out easily what I need to add, and from where, without using maven? Again, this isn't something I know anything about. Having looked very briefly at the maven web page I see that I have modified the pom file (as per the CAS - LDAP instructions) and this may have implications for the WAR file.
Also, yes, you can merely rename the WAR file to cas.war and it will work.
