I think the whole topic of simulink integration including yellow-blocks is a great topic, and it is mysterious to most people who don't get deep into the tools. I think it's useful to have an understanding of it, and I would like to know more myself. The bidirectional GPIO is a good one, and maybe something like an address/data bus implementation for the gpio, or maybe an IIC or SPI on a gpio?
