Hi, Glenn,
Maybe you're already doing this, but make sure you check the "use
parallel mode" (or similarly labeled) checkbox that is in the same
dialog box as "erase before programming" and "verify after
programming" (at least in the old-ish impact version I use).
Hope this helps,
Dave

Hello,
I'm trying to burn my design into the PROM of my iBOB. I've
struggled with this before, but usually after several iterations I
finally get it to work. Any ideas why this is so finicky? I am
using a Platform USB cable, and the PROM verifies fine, so I think
it's programming the file OK. I suspect the file creation. However
I'm using the exact version of iMPACT shown in the iBOB PROM
programming guide and following the steps exactly. The problem is
that the FPGA fails to program (the DONE light does not go on, nor
any of the other LEDs I expect from the design when it's working
(the serial port is also unresponsive of course). I've tried
pushing the prog button, but no help there. If I program the design
to the FPGA directly, it starts up immediately. Any suggestions of
what I might be missing?
Thanks,
Glenn
