Hi Daniel, I'm not aware of anyone getting the tools to work on Matlab 2010. The wiki recommends 2008a, 2008b, or 2009a. My installation uses 2009b and works well. I tried to use 2010a when first getting set up, but that didn't work.
You want to use the 11.x version of the Xilinx tools. My installation is using 11.5 and is working well. You should be able to acquire a free license to any of the Xilinx tool versions. The startup.m file and a few others you will need can be found on this wiki page: http://casper.berkeley.edu/wiki/Linux_xps Cheers, Matthew On Oct 7, 2010, at 8:39 AM, Daniel Esteban Herrera Pena wrote: > Hi there! > > I started to look at the tutorials as you recommended, now I have software > issues, I have Matlab 2010a (windows) and I'm having troubles installing > System Generator 10.1 (for the lastest CASPER libraries), I've contacted > Xilinx customer support for a evaluation license (do you guys had to do > the same?). > > Does anyone tried to work with Xilinx lastest version (12.3)?, the ISE > Design Suite includes a lot of stuff (System Generator as well) and I see > that I wouldn't have problems getting a free license for that version. > > Another issue, I'm not pretty sure, but it seems I need to create a > startup.m file for CASPER libraries integration, it is correct? what I > need to write there?. > > Thanks! > > Daniel H. > __________________________ Matthew Stevenson Graduate Student of Astrophysics Ph: (626) 395-4095 Fax: (626) 568-9352 E-mail: [email protected]
