Hi Daniel, Currently our libraries do not work with 12.x as Xilinx has stopped support for the OPB bus structure, which our yellow blocks depend on.
I'm not sure what board you're planning to use, but the BEE2 and IBOB have Virtex-2, which isn't supported in 11.x, but is supported in 10.1 under windows. Matlab 2010a will not work with the 10.1 toolflow as far as I know. For 10.1 we use Matlab r2007b. There may be other versions that work, i'm just not aware of them. If you plan on using a ROACH, then you can either use 10.1 or 11.x. We generally use 11.x under Linux, which is what I would recommend since we would be able to give you the most support here.
