I have some samples of the optics and fibres here, but I haven't played with 
them yet. It'd be 40GBASE-SR4 (MTP connector) into four 10GBASE-SR LC 
connectors. We're actually using this for MeerKAT deployment on our antennas 
for ADC data. I see it as very low risk, and I don't see any logical difference 
between the copper and fibre implementations. 

Once you've got the LC breakout (short 1m cable), you can couple it onto a 
longer fibre at 10Gbps and move across floors or whatever. That can all be done 
within the rack, using standard fibre patch panels.
