Hi All,

While looking for 10G switches for ROACH2, Dell was trying to convince me to
get their S6000 40G switch instead of the S4810 10G switch. The argument is
simple: S6000 has double the switching bandwidth, lower latency (600ns vs
800ns) and most importantly a lower price tag! Each 40G port can be spilt into
4 10G ports using a special QSFP+ to 4SFP+ cable.

But with all my infrastructure equipped with SFP+ 10G ethernet, the cabling is
going to be a big mess with the split cable. Not to mention the saving in
switch will most likely come back in the form of multiple special split cables.

So my question:
* Anybody has experience using QSFP+ and 40G switch with ROACH2 or in other
settings?
* What do you feel about the prospect of 40G with QSFP+ in the near future?
