Work with the R&D group to design, construct, develop and test the next generation digital signal processing platform for QTT. 3. Assist with the development of FPGA, using hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog or Matlab-Simulink. 4. Work with the design and building of astronomy signal processing pipeline for the observation of pulsar, FRB, spectra-line, continuum and VLBI. 5. Documenting the software, hardware and processing pipeline. 6. Performs other assignments as required. Qualifications: 1. Strong experience on FPGA development and test 2. Strong experience on GPU programming using language of CUDA 3. Experience on astronomy signal processing 4. Experience on C/C++, Python programming 5. Competency with linux-based operating systems 6. Experience with the CASPER toolflow 7. Astronomy data analysis and reduction Introduction of Steerable 110-m Aperture Radio Telescope Project The Steerable 110-m Aperture Radio Telescope, also known as the ‘QiTai radio Telescope’ (QTT), is planned to be built in Qitai county of Xinjiang. QTT is a radio telescope with a fully steerable 110-m aperture antenna supported by single beam receivers and multi-beam/PAF receivers, making it capable of observing at frequency bands between 150 MHz and 115 GHz. QTT will have the advantages of high sensitivity, broad observation frequency and wide sky coverage excellent for important scientific objectives, including detection of gravitational waves with pulsar timing array (PTA), star formation, exploration in the formation of organic macromolecules and the origin of life. It will also be an important platform for deep space exploration and space-time reference technology innovation.
