IMO System 76 makes nice Linux machines that are easy to specify in terms of #
of cores, amount of RAM, size of NVMe, etc. Plus when you run into pesky Linux
problem you can call tech support and speak with real live human Linux expert.

Lots of cores, lots of RAM, and an SSD primary!
I worked with a six-core i7 running at 4.xxGHz and 64GB RAM, which seemed fine,
but I was clearly bottlenecked by my HDDs. Definitely have an SSD...
fortunately multi-TB NVMe drives are affordable now.

Best,
Mike

Subject: [casper] Computer Specs Recommendation

Hi Guys,

Quick question. We're looking at purchasing a new computer for compiling our
firmware and am wondering if anybody can recommend what specs are beneficial
for speeding up compilation times?

Cheers,

Eoin.
