Dear Amilcar, The CASPER group has been in Italy on their annual CASPER workshop. I have just returned. The others return tomorrow. The guys have worked hard on the toolflow and are taking some nice relaxing time off.
I am not sure what tutorials you have issues with. I have discovered a problem with the following SKARAB tutorials due to the SKARAB ADC yellow block changes due to the sync changes. Important CASPER documentation that you may not be aware of: CASPER Website: https://casper.berkeley.edu/ CASPER Toolflow: https://casper-toolflow.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ CASPER Tutorials: https://casper-toolflow.readthedocs.io/projects/tutorials/en/latest/ CASPER SKARAB ADC Tutorials that you can use: 1) https://casper-toolflow.readthedocs.io/projects/tutorials/en/latest/tutorials/skarab/tut_spec/tut_spec_byp.html. The DDC mode will not work. I discovered it had the old ADC yellow block with sync inputs- @Mathews Chirindo <[email protected]> will fix this. 2) https://casper-toolflow.readthedocs.io/projects/tutorials/en/latest/tutorials/skarab/tut_adc/tut_adc_index.html. This is still pointing to the www.github.com/ska-sa/mlib_devel repo and must move to casper-astro rep. CASPER Communication is via 2 channels: 1) Slack group: https://join.slack.com/t/casper-astro/shared_invite/zt-1fbpcvi5i-5gPOqiqfj1RDxO3qsCU~2Q 2) CASPER email group (auto subscribe as follows): [email protected] and to subscribe to the email list: [email protected] 3) The SKARAB team is SARAO, Peralex and INAF. Please indicate the versions of Ubuntu, Matlab, Vivado and Python you are using and what tutorial you have an issue with or what your problem is and I will do my best to assist you. The versions are mentioned in the CASPER document, but we have baselined SKARAB on: Ubuntu 18.04LTS, Python 3.6, Matlab R2018a update pack 6, Vivado 2019.1.1. You will see that SKARAB now runs on Ubuntu 20.04LTS, Matlab R2021a update 5, Vivado 2021.1 and Python 3.8. Please note the IP is still sitting at 2019.1.1 and it has not all be properly verified with these versions. If you use any other versions then you do so at your own risk. We will support as best as we can. Remember, this is a collaboration and so we require everyone to contribute and not just the well known CASPER developers - no names mentioned :). I really hope this helps you. Glad to see SKARAB is being well used throughout the world :). Long live SKARAB.
