Hi everyone At SARAO, we are looking to develop FPGA platforms for current and future projects (platform = toolflow + enclosure + FPGA based processing board + companion peripherals).
Our basic requirements are, 1 - a number of decent ADCs (4 is a nice number) 2 - an interface with a bandwidth that can move the data off at full rate (100GbE or 200GbE). 3 - At a reasonable cost. Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC based boards seem to be a good choice. The RFSoC4x2 being a very nice configuration. Our projects are a mix of educational and research. But we also have a mandate to create commercial products where possible. Some projects may also require many boards (e.g 8 or 20). The RFSoC4x2 is great. But it may not be the best option for projects where we cannot access the academic pricing offered by Real Digital. No doubt we are not unique. Does anyone have a good option for a well priced COTS board that has simllar specs. Regards Andrew Disclaimer The information contained in this communication from the sender is confidential.
