I have to agree with this.

Docs & tutorials that highlight the differences from relational
modeling are probably going to be *far* more useful than changes to
names (in the API or in the code).

IMHO articles like
http://blog.evanweaver.com/articles/2009/07/06/up-and-running-with-cassandra/
will be far more useful than a name change, and perhaps no
simpler/easier after a name change.
