I would find it useful to have a project wizard that did the same as the ASP.NET MVC template - set up a new web application with a couple of controllers, an action or two on each plus attendant views, a simple layout, a default controller/action/id route and a site-root route. I think it also has forms-authentication set up, but I don't recall. It's possible to have a new one of those, hit F5, and be presented with the site served by the web-dev server out of the box.
