Yes, getting the four screws out was difficult. I used "liquid wrench," a hammer, and lots of patience. But finally got the four of them out. Edson now sells replacement bolts with a permanent coating which "eliminate the galvanic reaction between stainless and aluminum." (Edson #817-3.5) I will order some soon!
But once I got in, I find that my control does not have the tension adjustment screw. There is only a dent in the aluminum casting where the screw should be! I have sent e-mail to Edson to see if I can upgrade my throttle control by drilling and taping the location.
