When you go to cut remember:

Measure once and curse twice...no, that's measure twice and cut once...

or in my case...measure a whole bunch of times, get confused by all the numbers, make the initial cut, realize you have now messed things up and call a friend (usually, John) to come and fix it or buy a new thing and pay someone to install it.
