I was getting high, consistent 6s yesterday on the GPS. We rarely
dropped below 6 all day.

Yup pretty much though with the keel up I used to be able to get a
little plane out of the 22 and it would go pretty quick.   The general
calculation for displacement type boats is:  1.34* square root of water
line length in feet.  Of course that doesn't mean you won't see say 7
knots over ground  or 3 knots through the water.  It's basically what
you'd see if you discount waves, currents etc.
