I want to add an Edison instrument housing to my older 85 C27 wheel steering pedestal guard. My thoughts are to mount a 2010-55x55 (housing with clamp-on mount) with the back of the housing against the very top of the guard. This would place the housing a few inches directly above the compass.
Has anyone done this and have suggestions? Anyone have pictures? Looking at the Edson catalog, the 2010-55x55 comes with a clamp-on mount. Are the holes for the mount already drilled into the housing, or is that left to be done for custom installation? Will the "clamp-on" or "ball mount" fit on the pedestal guard curved top? Where should I purchase the housing, special order through West Marine or other? John 1985 C27 5956 Cool Change Austin, TX
