John,

Over the past several years (I was doing this on the installment plan), I
have added 2 side arm mount Edson Vison Instrument displays, one on each
side of the pedestal guard. My plan was to mount 2 separate displays which
is why I went with the side arm installation. Suggest you call Edson and
get the detailed technical information from them. What I installed was 2 -
2020 - 55 x 55 housings with side arm mounting brackets. I actually bought
the equipment from Defender, they were less expensive than anyone else I
could find.

I will try to get some pictures tomorrow time permitting.

I think the housing will come with either a side arm or ball mount (at least
both of mine did). I had to drill 2 holes in the pedestal guard for each
instrument, one drill and tap for a #8 or #10 machine screw, the second a
larger one for the cable to pass through. The housings are universal and I
am almost certain you will have to drill a hole in the housing for the ball
mount, I had to for my side arm installation.

>From looking at Defender's on line catalog, you would want a ball mount for
the top of the pedestal guard.

I drilled a hole in the cockpit floor, sealed the sides with epoxy, pulled
the wire, and put caulk around the wire. It wasn't terribly difficult. I
spent a fair amount of time making sure of the mounting position of the
display before drilling holes in the display case and pedestal guard. Yours
may be a little more difficult due to space limitations between the top of
the compass and the bottom of the pedestal guard.

Get a price from Defender before purchasing. I do not work for them or have
any relationship. There maybe better deals else where.

Late thought, check out the clamp on mount, may be easier to install but
will be closer to you.
