This is a very useful thread to me. If we summarize, I think there are three
acceptable choices for a C-27 outboard bracket.

This one is Outboard Motor Mount, Four Spring, Product #: Z2275, $289.00
from Catalina Direct.

There is the Garelick line, which was discussed by Listees in the last
couple of weeks. It turns out Garelick has quite a number of models, which
can be seen on this link: http://www.cgedwards.com/garelick/gar1.html. I
would say a ballpark figure is about $200 to $300.

And then there is the Breeze Eze-Slide, from
http://www.breezeindustries.com/marine.htm. This certainly looks like a good
unit, but at $900 or so, would not make a lot of sense on my old boat.

One major consideration is the amount of travel, so that the motor gets all
the way out of the water when anchored, but is properly immersed when under
way. For me, the mount needs to fit off-center, so I have to keep that in
mind.

Any other candidates?
