Pat,
I just had to replace the ball valve for the cooling water because the
bronze ball valve hade a small crack that allowed water to drip into the
boat when the valve was open. Just enough to make a few pumps necessary
once in a while. I am just glad it did not get worse...

If you have an IB through the packing gland and from leaking windows,
etc. Also last year my IB blew a freeze plug resulting in copious
amounts of water entering the boat.
