This is my 5th season with my 1978 C27. I do not have an electric bilge pump. I have the original manual pump in the side of the Port lazarette. For 28 years the PO and myself , each time we go aboard, would give the pump 3 or 4 pumps and empty the bilge. Most time NO water. This year, since launch 5 weeks ago, I have to pump it 10 plus times ?? We have had rainy days but ? My question-- how does water enter the bilge? Packing box or ? Pat Ford Seabiscuit 3692 Port Washington, WI If you have an IB through the packing gland and from leaking windows, etc. Also last year my IB blew a freeze plug resulting in copious amounts of water entering the boat.
