Tom, Probably not a bad purchase. The new sail is still stiff, and that's part of what makes new sails great. However, with continued use, your new sail will break itself in and become more manageable.

Size is right, sets well, enjoyed sailing with it, at least while it was up. But I have to say it is the most unmanagable thing I've ever used. The material is extremely hard and stiff. Might as well be thin sheet plastic. Trying to fold it and get it back into a bag was quite difficult, and certainly not a thing I could do by myself. I don't have a whole lot of experience with brand new sails. Will this thing soften up and become more managable over time, or did I just make a lousy purchase? Tom Monroe 6219 Different Drummer
