Okay, I rethought the ORC cockpit rule, and since these cockpits aren't enclosed aft but instead provide an open drain back to the sea, my assumption would now be that they're not cockpits in the conventional sense and pooping isn't an issue (especially when you've got that lovely spacious set of accommodations below where you can take care of pooping in other ways).
I can better see taking one of these offshore now--but I'd rather be in the Open 60. And I guess I'd really rather be in my C27 offshore; the motion comfort has GOT to be better than these lightweight, stiff raceboats. I think.
