Glen,
I like man of war spar varnish, which is easy to say for someone with zero bright work. However if you look at the real beauties with tons of bright work you may note it is all covered to protect it from the sun between outings. My advice would be to make (buy) the covers first then redo the bright work. That way you'll get many seasons before needing to do spot touchups on the occasional oops. Or at least that's how it's worked out on my brother IP38. This chat line has been great in getting to know about the boat. I am about to refinish some of the bright work. What is the preferred finish to use, and why. Your collective wisdom is greatly appreciated. Glenn Lawson "Kaitlin Rose" Comox, BC Canada
