While it might be better it only applies if you covert to a pair of 6 Volt battery. The likely candidates are usually golf cart batteries. Voltages in series add so a pair of 6Volt batteries in series becomes a 12 Volt bank. A pair of 12 Volt batteries in series becomes a 24 Volt bank which would require a completely new electrical system on your boat from charging systems to light bulbs. I read somewhere that it might be better to wire the two in series, that is positive to negative and negative to positive. Which is best? 2. I've been charging the batteries by connecting a charger to one of the batteries, normally a deep cell, and then putting my main power switch on "All" and assumed this would allow all three batteries to be charged.
