Please understand that you still represent a minority of PyPI users only: namely, the package authors. The (by numbers) larger group of users are the ones that actually *use* the packages on PyPI. Of course, trere is also overlap between these groups. Unfortunately, they typically don't subscribe to catalog-sig, so they won't speak up here.
