I returned to VanDyne Spoor this morning with a friend, a new birder, but one
whose judgement and eyesight I trust. As soon as we parked at the barrier and
started to scan south in the fields he said "there it is." I asked what and he
said the Flycatcher. Unfortunately instead of landing on top of something he
said it went into the bushes and never did come out. The distance was about 60
yards. His description seemed correct, a silver-gray bird with a noticably
long forked tail. Let's not give up hope yet.
