So Matt's puzzler devolves to the question whether the Renwick Wildwood 
Sanctuary was actually renamed after the untimely death of L. A. Fuertes, or 
whether that claim only represents a garbled memory of the creation of the 
Fuertes Memorial Waterfowl Sanctuary (which we've forgetfully dubbed the 'swan 
pen') beside the Stewart Park boathouse.

Might seem like a trivial question, but it  would have to be resolved if the 
arch was going to be restored.

Does the Cayuga Bird Club have archives from the late 1920s that could provide 
an answer?
